Challenge

Lithuanian internet infrastructure is comprised of many components. Authorities do not have indefinite resources to protect everything. Therefore, knowing which of these components are critical to the functioning of the society would enable them to evaluate and safeguard those components in a proper manner.

Solution

National Critical Internet Infrastructure identification and monitoring framework was designed, its effectiveness and capabilities to receive information regarding national internet infrastructure status and disorder of activities was evaluated.

Services provided

Development of a List of Criticality Criteria for identification of Critical Internet Infrastructure;
Assessment of existing methods for establishment of national internet topology and critical infrastructure and recommendations for improvement;
Development and substantiation of theoretical model for adopting criticality criteria;
Development of legal, technical and organizational measures for implementation of the model;
Development of a technical solution for automated collection of data required for critical infrastructure monitoring;
Development of a theoretical monitoring model and technical solution.
